This year’s event will be on the morning of Saturday April 17, 2010. If there is inclement weather on April 17, there is a backup schedule TBA.
There are currently two ways to get involved with this year’s TBD. The first is to become a Project Coordinator (PC), in which you will lead a group of 5-30 volunteers in a project for Tech Beautification Day. If you are interested in becoming a PC, applications will be availale soon. Click here to learn more about becoming a PC.
The other opportunity for involvement is to sign up to be a volunteer for the day. You will be working from 9am-12pm on a landscaping-related project on or around our campus. We will be offering group and individual sign up for projects this year, probably sometime in March, so check back soon for the official registration dates to be announced.
For the last thirteen years, we have worked with the Georgia Tech Landscaping Facilities to organize landscaping-related projects across our campus. These will include planting flowers, shrubs, and other small plants, as well as laying sod, mulch, and pine straw in areas that may otherwise not be reached by Facilities. We are also organizing projects to benefit the Recycling Department.
Additionally, this year we a making another huge push to get more and more Greeks involved. The Greek sector of campus is a major portion of campus and is not always in the best shape, and this year we will be giving Fraternities and Sororities the oppurtunities to work on their houses and the areas around them directly. See the contacts on the Executive Committee page to get more information.
